<Introduction>
     The Fujitsu PrintPartner 20W has drivers for the following models.

       Fujitsu PrintPartner 20W     : Standard driver for 20W


<File composition>
     The following files are necessary for the standard driver.
      FJPP20WM.INF  Information file used for installing the printer driver.
      FJPP20WM.DR_  Fujitsu PrintPartner 20W printer driver module.
      LEXBCE.DL_    Bidirectional communication file
      LEXBCELM.DL_  Bidirectional communication file for language monitor
      LEXLMPM.DL_   Windows 95 language monitor
      LEXSTART.EX_  Bidirectional communication startup file
      READMEST.TXT  Contains explanation and points to note for the printer
                    driver.


<Installation Guide>
     The standard printer driver can be installed by either of 2 methods
     described below.

     (1)Plug and Play printer detection.

       (a)Windows 95 automatically detects the printer at installation time or
          during the boot process.

       (b)Plug and Play detection code will prompt the user for the appropriate
          files if they are not resident in the Windows directory, by
          displaying the "New Hardware Found" dialog box.

       (c)From the "New Hardware Found" dialog box select the option "Driver
          from disk provided by hardware manufacturer" and click the "OK"
          push-button.

       (d)The "Install from disk" dialog box is displayed prompting the user to
          select the drive and directory containing the installation disk.

       (e)Insert the printer driver installation disk into the A: drive,
          type "A:\" and click "OK".

       (f)The "Select Device" dialog box appears displaying the model name
          "Fujitsu PrintPartner 20W". Click "OK" to continue.

       (g)A dialog appears prompting the user to type the printer name. Type
          an appropriate name or use the one supplied and click "Next>".

       (h)The next dialog prompts the user to print a test page. Select "Yes"
          or "No" and click "Finish".

       (i)Driver files are copied from the installation disk.
          N.B. The following files are not contained on the printer
          installation disk and should be installed from the appropriate
          Windows set-up disk, if not already contained in the Windows system
          sub-directory:
           ICONLIB.DLL, UNIDRV.DLL, UNIDRV.HLP.

       (j)Once all the appropriate files have been copied and the driver is
          installed, a test page is printed. Depending on whether the test page
          was correctly printed or not select "Yes or "No".

      The Fujitsu PrintPartner 20W Windows 95 printer driver is now installed.


     (2)Set-up from Printers folder.

       (a)Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Printers.

       (b)Double-click Add Printer.

       (c)The Add Printer Wizard appears. Click "Next>".

       (d)Click "Have Disk" from the next dialog and the "Install from disk"
          dialog box is displayed prompting the user to select the drive and
          directory containing the installation disk.

       (e)Insert the printer driver installation disk into the A: drive,
          type "A:\" and click "OK".

       (f)A dialog box appears displaying the model names.
          Select the model name which you will use,
          and click "Next>" to continue.

       (g)A list of available ports appears. Select an appropriate port and
          click "Next>".

       (h)A dialog appears prompting the user to type the printer name. Type
          an appropriate name or use the one supplied and click "Next>".

       (i)The next dialog prompts the user to print a test page. Select "Yes"
          or "No" and click "Finish".

       (j)Driver files are copied from the installation disk.
          N.B. The following files are not contained on the printer
          installation disk and should be installed from the appropriate
          Windows set-up disk, if not already contained in the Windows system
          sub-directory:
           ICONLIB.DLL, UNIDRV.DLL, UNIDRV.HLP.

       (k)When all files have been copied and the driver is installed a dialog
          appears querying the result of test page printout. Depending on
          whether the test page was printed correctly or not click "Yes" or
          "No".

      The Fujitsu PrintPartner 20W Windows 95 printer driver is now installed.


<Points to Note>
       (1)The PrintPartner printers' serial ports only support baud rates of
          1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400 and 57600. Other baud rates should
          not be selected in the driver when using the serial port.

       (2)Vector Graphics is used as the default Graphics Mode for this driver.
          If problems occur when printing graphics, please switch to Raster
          Graphics.

       (3)When using Duplex printing
          When the front page and back page settings, such as paper source,
          paper size or print direction, are the same, the printer will print
          according to example #1.
          When any of these settings are different the printer will print
          according to example #2.

       (4)[Media] allows you to make detail settings about Paper Source.
             1) Auto (All Select)    : All paper sources are selected.
             2) Auto (Tray1 not used): All but tray 1 are selected.
             3) Auto (Tray2 not used): All but tray 2 are selected.
             4) Auto (Tray3 not used): All but tray 3 are selected.
             5) Auto (Tray4 not used): All but tray 4 are selected.
             6) Auto (MFF not used)  : All but MFF are selected.
             7) No Auto Feed         : When "Auto" is not selected in the
                                       [Paper Source],"No Auto Feed" should
                                       be selected for [Media].
                                       The only paper souce which is selected
                                       in the [Paper Source] is available.

       (5)The following size of Custom paper can not be printed on both sides.
             Possible range   : Width  100-297 [mm]
                                Height 182-431 [mm]
             Impossible range : Width  100-297 [mm]
                                Height 148-181 [mm]
