Description:
If you would like to use Nikon CoolPix990/880 camera connected to your computer using
the USB interface, you may need to install this package even if you
have previously installed Nikon View Ver.3 software already on
you system.

You should install this package if your Windows systems asks you for a
driver for the CoolPix990/880 when you first connect the CoolPix990/880 to
your system or if your CoolPix990/880 is appearing as an 'unknown device' in
the Windows Device manager

Preparation:
If you already download this package from our web site, you should have
following two files on your computer;
-ClpxUSB.INF
-Nkdusd.sys

Please note that in some Windows configurations file extensions and/or
system files may be hidden from your view. Please take a moment to configure
your system to show system files and file extensions. In Windows 2000 this
is done in the "Folder Options" control panel. In Windows 95 and 98 this is
done using the 'Folder Options" which can be found in the "View" menu. If
you cannot see all two files, or if files appear without extensions, you
should make this adjustment. You can change back to the original
configuration ( system files and extensions hidden) after you complete the
installation.

Depending on the software you are using to download, you may not be able to
locate the two files after you have downloaded them . In this case, you
will have a file called xxxx.zip on you system. If you have xxxx.zip, you
need to uncompress it, so that you will get those two files above as a
result of uncompression the xxxx.zip file. Some system may have software to
uncompress it and some does not. Please double click on the xxxx.zip file,
it should be uncompressed if you have software. Some popular decompression
software is supplied as shareware or freeware. Windows does not supply this
decompression software as part of the operating system tools. You must
obtain and install this software on your system. One of the more popular
file decompressors is the "Stuffit Expander". This software can be
downloaded from http://www.aladdinsys.com.

When you locate the two files, please copy them to a floppy disk.
Alternatively you can copy those files into a folder on your had disk. To
make the folder easy to find later on, use a unique name such as "aaaNikon"
or something like this.
