Video
In the Video tab, you can configure your camera's video settings.
To configure your camera's video settings, do any of the following:
- General:
- Video format: Select a video format from the drop-down list.1
- Audio format: Select an audio format from the drop-down list.2
- Field of view: Select the field of view from the drop-down list.
- Stream Allocation: If your camera supports multiple streams, you can set a specific stream for Recording, Live view, and Mobile. Once a stream has been set, corresponding video settings will be displayed.
- Recording: Select a stream to be used for recording.
- Live view: Select a stream to be used for Live View.
- Mobile: Select a stream to be used for Live View on the mobile application of DS cam.
- For each stream, you can configure additional video settings such as Resolution, Frame rate4, Bitrate control, and Image quality.
Note:
- In MPEG4/H.264/MXPEG format, Surveillance Station supports audio streaming in both Live View and video recording, while in MJPEG format, audio streaming is not supported. Audio support is only available if the camera supports audio. (MXPEG is a video codec implemented by Mobotix.)

Surveillance Station supports G.711, G.726, AAC, AMR and PCM audio formats. The actual supported audio formats depends on the camera specification.
- The frame rate should be set appropriately for the best recording performance.
- The available video settings to configure depends on your camera specifications.
