Push Service

You can enable push service to send notification messages to your mobile devices via Synology's push service server when system status changes or errors occur.

Note:

To use an email server hosted by Synology:

  1. Check the Send notifications regarding system status via Synology's email server
  2. Specify a primary address in Primary email. You may also specify a secondary address in Secondary email. Notifications will be sent to both email addresses.
  3. Click Apply to continue. You will need to verify your email addresses before being able to receive push notifications. A verification email will be sent to the addresses you have specified. Please follow the steps in the verification email.
  4. After verification, click Send a test message and then OK to see if your settings are correct. Check your settings if no test message is received.

To enable mobile device notifications:

  1. Check the Enable mobile device notifications box, and then click Apply.
  2. A prompt will appear notifying you to install and log in to DS cam on your mobile device to receive mobile notifications. Click OK to continue.
  3. On your mobile device, install DS cam and log in to Surveillance Station.
  4. Back in Surveillance Station, click Send a test message and then OK to send a test notification.
  5. Launch DS cam on your mobile device to check whether you have received the test message. Check your settings if no test message is received.

To manage paired mobile devices:

  1. Click Manage paired devices to see the list of all paired mobile devices.
  2. If you want to unpair any of the devices, select a device and click Unpair. You can press and hold Shift or Ctrl to make multiple selections. No notifications will be sent to the unpaired devices unless you pair them up again.
  3. Click Close to finish.
