Recording

In the Recording tab, you can configure recording and archiving settings.

To set recording settings, configure any of the following:

• Save video every: Set the length of saved recordings for continuous recording.

Note: The size limit for each recording is 2GB.

• Pre-recording time/Post-recording time: Set how much time the recording will extend backwards/forwards.

To set recording archive settings, configure any of the following:

• Recording archive folder: Enter a name for the recording archive folder that will be used to save the recorded videos.
• File name prefix: Enter the file name prefix that will appear in front of each file name.
• Keep the files within: Enter a range (in days) to retain recordings saved within this range. Any recordings that fall out of this range will automatically be deleted.
• Limit the archive folder up to: Enter how much storage space (in GB) can be used to save recordings. The oldest recordings will be replaced with new recordings once the specified storage capacity has been used.
• Click Estimate Required Space to estimate the storage space needed for this camera's current settings when continuously recording.

To configure Archive Rotation Settings:

1. Select one of the following options:
   • remove old archives: The oldest recordings will be deleted to make space for newly saved recordings once the space or time limit is reached.
   • stop recording: Surveillance Station will automatically stop recording once the space or time limit is reached.
