User List

Log in to Surveillance Station as a user belonging to the administrators group to create and manage DSM users that can access Surveillance Station.

At User > List, you will find different groups on your left, and users belonging to the selected group on your right. Click to switch between filter criteria (i.e., privilege types and status). For example, if you apply the Privilege Type filter, then users will be categorized and displayed according to their privilege types.

Please note that the users listed here do not include any users belonging to the administrators group.

To create a user:

Click Add and follow the wizard instructions to create a new user.

Note:

The users created on this page will only have default DSM and Surveillance Station privileges. For advanced settings, please log in to DSM and go to Control Panel > User. Refer to DSM Help for more information.

User Photo

You can upload a photo for a user by clicking the upload button or drag and dropping an image into the display area.
The display dimensions of user photos are 125x95 pixels. Any image larger than that size will be resized to fit the dimensions, with its aspect ratio maintained.
Supported image formats: BMP, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG
Browsers that support drag and drop upload: Chrome, Firefox, IE10, and onward.

To edit user information:

Select a user and click Edit to modify information such as user name, password, description, display language, initial page, user photo, and more.

Note:

For LDAP and domain users, you can only edit their initial pages and photos here.

To edit privilege profiles for users:

Select users whose privilege profiles you want to edit, and click Privilege. Except for system default profiles, you can edit all privilege profiles directly. For more information regarding privilege profiles, please refer to Privilege Profile Help.

To enable/disable users:

Select the users you want to enable/disable.
Select Enable or Disable from the Enable drop-down menu.
