ACAP Apps
In theACAP Apps tab, you can set up ACAP (AXIS Camera Application Platform) event detection for your camera.
To use applications in other services:
- Tick the Trigger ACAP Event checkbox for the applications you wish to use in other services.
- Click Save to apply settings.
Note:
- When you tick Trigger ACAP Event for an application, such application will be taken for an event, and show among the options in the services such as Action Rule, Notification, Live View, recording schedules, and so on. You can then set up to trigger certain actions based on these events.
- Only the applications supported by Surveillance Station, instead of all applications installed on the camera, are listed in the tab.
- Perimeter Defender accepts triggered information from all scenarios.
To set applications as motion related events:
- Tick the Trigger Motion Event checkbox for the applications you wish to set as motion related events.
- Click Save to apply settings.
Note:
- When you tick Trigger Motion Event for an application, motion detection events will be triggered when the application is triggered.
To configure an application installed on the camera:
- Click to select any application.
- Click Web UI to open the web-based console of your camera in the browser for you to configure the application.
Note:
- The Web UI button is only available when the selected application has been installed on the camera.
To edit live view for an application:
- Click to select any application.
- Click Edit Live View to open the window for your to determine which additional information to show in Live View.

- This function is only available for certain applications.
