License
In License, you can view the installed surveillance device licenses and the number of licenses which you have already used. When you run out of installed licenses, you can add new surveillance device licenses up to the maximum number of surveillance devices of your $_DSPRODUCTNAME_$. Moreover, you can also delete installed surveillance device licenses here.
Note:
- Camera licenses have been installed by default in Surveillance Station. The amount of default licenses depends on the configuration of the $_DSPRODUCTNAME_$ you purchased. These default licenses cannot be deleted.
- Surveillance Station installed on Docker DSM/Virtual DSM comes without any default surveillance device licenses.
- Two surveillance device licenses have been installed by default in Surveillance Station. These two default licenses cannot be deleted.
- Adding or deleting licenses require connecting to Synology Inc. for verification.
- For more information on how to purchase Synology surveillance device licenses, please contact our authorized resellers.
- Surveillance Station may use more than one license for a surveillance device of particular models. For more information, please refer to Synology website.

- The CMS host will perform the management over the licenses owned by the recording servers in the central management system. To add or delete licenses for the recording servers, you need to log in to the CMS host.
