Advanced
In the Advanced tab, you can integrate notifications for DSM and Surveillance Station, mute notifications for a period of time, combine notifications of the same event types within a period of time, as well as edit notification variables.
DSM Notification
To show DSM notification and sync Email/SMS/Push Service settings with DSM:
- Tick the checkbox to enable the function.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Note:
- The events of both DSM and Surveillance Station will show in the Settings tab, and you can determine which events to trigger notifications via any services (email, SMS, and/or mobile).
- The settings in Email, SMS, Push Service tabs will be replaced by the corresponding ones from DSM. Your configuration from then on will be applied to notifications from both DSM and Surveillance Station.
Mute Notifications
To turn off notifications for a short period of time:
- Under the Mute Notifications section, please select a duration from the Mute for drop-down menu to mute notifications.
- Click the Turn On button. A countdown timer will be displayed below, and no Surveillance Station notifications will be sent during this period.
To resume sending notifications:
- Click the Turn Off button to resume sending notifications.
Note:
- You can click Save to apply the mute duration for notifications, however you must click Turn On in order for the mute notification function to take effect.
- Only Surveillance Station notifications (e.g. email, SMS, and push service) will not be sent. DSM notifications will still be sent.
Event Snapshot
Under Event Snapshot, you can choose to attach a single snapshot or multiple snapshots taken within a specified interval to email messages when an event has been detected.
To attach a single snapshot
- Select the Only take one snapshot when detecting an event option.
To attach multiple snapshots taken within a specified interval
- Select the Take snapshots when detecting events, and continue to take snapshots within a specified interval after the events occur option.
- Specify the duration of the interval (in seconds) after an event occurs.
Note:
- To attach event snapshots, the Attach an event snapshot option in the Email or Push Service tab must be enabled.
- The number of snapshots taken within a specified interval varies depending on the camera model.
Notification Combination Setting
To avoid receiving excessive notifications of the same event types within a short while:
- Tick the checkbox to enable the function.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Note:
- Enabling this feature will disable the Attach event snapshot function.
Notification Variables
To edit the variables of the notification message:
- Enter a string in the field at the right to each variable. The variables will be replaced by the specified strings in delivered notification messages.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
