Efficient Approach for Modeling
Collision-Induced Timing Jitter in WDM Return-to-Zero Dispersion-Managed Systems

Abstract:
A semi-analytical approach that allows us to create an efficient
numerical algorithm to accurately evaluate collision-induced timing jitter
in wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) systems with return-to-zero (RZ)
modulation format is developed. The approach agrees well with full numerical
simulations. The computational time is reduced by two orders of magnitude
compared to full numerical simulations.
