Meeting of the Defense Policy Board Advisory Committee

AGENCY: Department of Defense, Defense Policy Board Advisory Committee.

ACTION: Notice.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY: The Defense Policy Board Advisory Committee will meet in 
closed session at the Pentagon on October 6, 1998.
    The purpose of the meeting is to provide the Secretary of Defense, 
Deputy Secretary of Defense and Under Secretary of Defense for Policy 
with independent, informed advice on major matters of defense policy. 
The Board will hold classified discussions on national security 
matters.
    In accordance with Section 10(d) of the Federal Advisory Committee 
Act, Public Law No. 92-463, as amended [5 U.S.C. App II (1982)], it has 
been determined that this meeting concerns matters listed in 5 U.S.C. 
552B(c)(1)(1982), and that accordingly this meeting will be closed to 
the public.

DATES: Tuesday, October 6, 1998 (9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Meeting of the Senior Advisory Board on National Security

AGENCY: Department of Defense, Office of the Undersecretary of Defense 
(Policy).

ACTION: Notice of closed meeting.

SUMMARY: The Senior Advisory Board on National Security will meet in 
closed session on October 6, 1998. The Board was recently established 
to conduct a comprehensive review of the early twenty-first century 
global security environment; develop appropriate national security 
objectives and a strategy to attain these objectives; and recommend 
concomitant changes to the national security apparatus as necessary.
    In accordance with Section 10(d) of the Federal Advisory Committee 
Act, Public Law 92-463, as amended by 5 U.S.C., Appendix II, it has 
been determined that matters affecting national security, as covered by 
5 U.S.C. 552(b)(1) (1988), will be presented throughout the meeting, 
and that, accordingly, the meeting will be closed to the public.

Defense Science Board Task Force on Coalition Warfare; Notice of 
Advisory Committee Meetings

SUMMARY: The Defense Science Board Task Force on Coalition Warfare will 
meet in closed session on September 22 and 28, 1998 at Strategic 
Analysis, Inc., 4001 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Virginia. In order 
for the Task Force to obtain time sensitive classified briefings, 
critical to the understanding of the issues, these meetings are 
scheduled on short notice.
    The mission of the Defense Science Board is to advise the Secretary 
of Defense through the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and 
Technology on Scientific and technical matters as they affect the 
perceived needs of the Department of Defense. At these meetings the 
Task Force will address how best to make future U.S. military 
capabilities, embodied by JV2010, coalition compatible.
    In accordance with Section 10(d) of the Federal Advisory Committee 
Act, Pub. L. No. 92-463, as amended (5 U.S.C. App. II, (1994)), it has 
been determined that these DSB Task Force meetings concern matters 
listed in 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(1) (1994), and that accordingly these 
meetings will be closed to the public.

SUMMARY: In accordance with 37 CFR 404.6, announcement is made of the 
availability of the following U.S. patents for non-exclusive, partially 
exclusive or exclusive licensing. All of the listed patents have been 
assigned to the United States of America as represented by the 
Secretary of the Army, Washington, DC.
    These patents covering a wide variety of technical arts including: 
A device to enhance the signature of a target and a method for 
multisensor multitarget tracking.
    Under the authority of Section 11(a)(2) of the Federal Technology
