THandle is a general purpose data reference (handle).

Description

For example, the SaveToClipboardFormat uses a THandle variable to hold a handle to the data of a bit map. SetAsHandle can then be used to store the bit map data, via its handle, to the clipboard.  

Handles are used extensively in communication with Windows APIs.
